PPF Member Matthew Davies has Cerebral Palsy and is a classified para swimmer competing at national level as part of City of Southampton swimming club, he trains at least once a day for 6 days of the week.
Matthew’s greatest achievements so far are: Silver medal in the Cerebral palsy World Games in Spain when he was one of the youngest competitors aged only 14, and recently went on to win the 50m breaststroke champion title in Aberdeen at the British para swimming international meet.
AND….. He’s now been invited to the British championships in April for the 100m breaststroke at the London Aquatic Pool (where the 2012 Summer Paralympics were held) to compete against those who are going to Paris for the 2024 Summer Paralympics.
