Absolutely fantastic service. I can't thank Jane and Shelly enough for all they have done for our son and our family as a whole! Since becoming a member our son has enjoyed many activities with other members and expressed how happy he is to be welcomed and included into the group with no judgements. He is free to be himself and enjoy social events that were not accessible to him before. With the help of the foundation our son is changing from an anxious, closed and quiet lad to a happy, funny and confident young man.

My daughter has learning difficulties and joined PPF around three years ago. This has helped her to make new friends with similar difficulties and to participate in many exciting activities, most recently a drama production of Cinderella. PPF is an excellently run charity which exists to help young adults with a variety of difficulties to develop self confidence and social skills and to have a more fulfilling social life. Jane and Shelley work exceptionally hard to make this happen and I really appreciate their efforts.

It’s difficult to describe just how amazing this charity is. It’s a positively life changing organisation. It really is. The events are brilliant and so well organised. The emotional support is a constant - 24/7. The professionalism is second to none. The range of support offered is superb. Everything is covered. I can’t recommend the Positive Path Foundation highly enough. Everything they do is positive, sensitive, caring, fun, accessible and meets all the needs, and more, of the members. Inspirational 🙂

My son George has been a member of PPF for over two years and it has really helped his confidence. He has enjoyed mixing with different people and taking part in fun activities and social events. George is hoping to find work with the help of PPF's partnership with the Minstead Trust Employability scheme. Jane and Shelley are so supportive as well as being great fun and we are very grateful to have found this amazing group of people.

Hi my name is Emma – Positive Path Foundation is a fantastic group which I’m so happy to be a member of. Since I joined, I’ve made many really good friends who I even meet now outside of PPF evenings. It was a great way to meet new people as my social life was never very big and having a peer group of friends has made such a difference. It has made me feel that I am finally part of something, as we are all treated and respected in the same way. New members are starting all the time and this is great. Jane and Shelly always look out for me when I go on a social events and outings and I know my parents feel secure that I’m always safe and having fun. Thank you ever so much for all your help and support its made such a difference to my life. Hi, I'm Emma's father Daniel- Emma has a wide range of complex health issues which have prevented her from accessing mainstream social activities. It has always been our hope that as she grew older she would have opportunities to mix and make friends with like-minded people of both her age and a degree of understanding of how she communicates and functions slightly different from people who do not have her presentation. Since joining Positive Path Foundation she has had many opportunities to mix with like-minded people, many of whom she can now call friends. This has both given her confidence in other areas of her life as well as lots of fun and enjoyment. Emma is diagnosed as visually impaired and wears hearing aids. This makes her more sensitive to environments that are both too noisy or too quiet. Having the wide range of opportunities that PPF social activities offers has given Emma opportunity to experience different situations in a safe friendly environment. Her ability to manage her immediate environment is important and we feel she has developed skills to moderate her social situations to meet her sensory needs. As PPF activities are sensitive to the participants individual needs this has been possible and Emma has been stretched which aids her development as well as enabling her to transfer these skills to other social situations. PPF also have been providing us carers and parents with a range of support as well which is important, when our children become adults with disabilities many services drift out of reach so this has been a real bonus for us too. Accessing a wide range of different social activities, from weekends away, cinema nights, beach evenings, crazy golf, climbing walls to name but a few has enriched her life and we can't thank the dedication of Jane and Shelley enough.

Four years ago the positive path member was a selective mute, with no friends and limited social experience due to high anxiety. Since joining positive paths his interests have broadened and his self esteem has grown beyond measure. To have the opportunity to safely explore being with other young people and try new things is often denied to young people with complex Social needs outside of the family. Positive paths provides such a great deal of support which it cleverly matches to each persons understanding and capabilities. This young person will always prefer to be watching and learning rather than being at the center of things, Jane and her team have responded to this with just the right amount of gentle encouragement and the results are astonishing. This new found confidence has helped the young man grow in all areas of his life. The family too have also benefited from knowing that each activity is chosen and supervised to an appropriate degree. Jane and her team have kept in very close contact during the early events so that all involved felt safe and secure. We have no doubt that without positive Paths this young man's world would be a far smaller anxious place than it is today. 'Positive' really is the 'Path' ahead for achieving more in life for so many young people who fall through the cracks in society today. Thank you from a very proud family of a Positive Paths Member.

My son loves the adult drama sessions with Jane and Shelley. They are a lot of fun and have really helped develop his self confidence. The specially scripted production of Aladdin allowed the young adults to play to their strengths while being very entertaining. I am confident the upcoming production of Cinderella will be another success for all involved.

Our Son Matthew has gained many new friends and enjoyed some wonderful experiences since joining PPF. He looks forward to all the events and fun things they do as a group. We cannot recommend this group enough for delivering on everyone’s expectations. Jane and Shelley are absolutely incredible in running this for these young people, supporting them with the journey through life. Long may it continue to grow.
